Syria Art Project – Art Installation Proposals

Installation art is an artistic genre of three-dimensional works that often are site specific and designed to transform the perception of a space. Generally, the term is applied to interior spaces, whereas exterior interventions are often called public art; however, the boundaries between these terms overlap.

Installation art proposals include hand built tents easy to assemble, wrapped with raw canvas to suggest refugee tents. Collage of Aleppo Urban Landscapes paintings printed on the outside of the canvas tent to withstand the rain. My suggestion for viewing installation art is to assemble two tents on a backdrop of an urban scene which adds to the drama while viewers walking around and experiencing the installation in both daylight and night time with proper flood lighting. The collage paintings are not limited to gallery walls and can be seeing flat or on an angle in a gallery or in public space.
